Aries Basses Introduces the Aman II Bass

Aries Aman II Bass - perspective view

Aries Basses has added a new model to their lineup called the Aman II. The design is brings together elements of two of their existing basses with the front pulling from the Aman I and the semi-acoustic body style of their Conis bass.

The Aman II is built with a chambered Mahogany body and spruce top. Its neck is a 3-piece laminate of flamed and hard rock maple complete with a fretless Macassar ebony fingerboard. Aries fits the bass with a custom made, hand-wound dual coil pickup as well as a custom piezo in the bridge, which matches the fingerboard. Onboard electronics include the Aries 528 booster with passive and active operations, a piezo/pickup mix pot, a passive tone blend, and a pickup switch. The package also includes an outboard s528 preamp with a 3-band EQ.

The Aries Aman II is hand made in Croatia. A price hasn’t been finalized, but the company says it projects it to be between $4,500 and $5,000, including the outboard preamp.

Wow! Really beautiful but a demo would be good too. Does it sound as good as it looks?
