Esperanza Spalding Announces “Thank You October” Tour Dates

Esperanza Spalding will be celebrating her birth month with a string of tour dates. The “Thank You October” tour will be a two-week outing focusing on the East Coast with a single Canadian show in Toronto.
Spalding, who turns 30 this year, will get the party started at the Ridgefield Playhouse in Ridgefield, Connecticut before covering New England and heading south to North Carolina and Virginia. The tour wraps up one week before her actual birthday at Cleveland, Ohio’s Playhouse Square.
Pianist Leo Genovese and drummer Lyndon Rochelle will fill out the bassist’s trio. Together they’ll revisit songs from Spalding’s career with selections from her critically-acclaimed releases, Junjo, Esperanza, Chamber Music Society, and Radio Music Society.

Wish she could come to Mexico City in the future…
Toronto is NOT on the East Coast. I’d love to see Esperanza perform, but, I’m not driving 1000 miles to do it. :)
