Two Yes Classics Performed in Entirety in Concert Film

Yes: Like It Is - Live at the Mesa Arts CenterAs we continue to mourn the loss of Yes bassist Chris Squire, we can also take delight in one of his latter-day performances with the band he founded in the late 1960s.

When the legendary progressive rock group played in Mesa, Arizona on Aug. 12, 2014, Squire, — who died June 27, 2015 of acute erythroid leukemia — was the only founding member still part of the band as it played two of its best-loved albums, Close to the Edge and Fragile, in their entirety in one night. That show, performed at the Mesa Arts Center, is now available on Blu-ray as Like It Is — Live at the Mesa Arts Center.

Here’s a bit of what it looked like. Enjoy “South Side of the Sky”:

  1. That should be “Five Percent FOR Nothing”

  2. Chris’s playing ranged from aggressive, driving to beautifully melodic and peaceful and everything in between…..such a giant. R.I.P. Chris….

  3. This was excellent and the guy playing acoustic guitar is excellent.
I could swear I see a silver quarter in Chris’s fingers he uses as a pick , he will be dearly missed.

  4. Jeff ,should be 5% for nothing , what does this mean.

  5. I love Chris, but that’s not Yes
