G&L Adds MJ-4 Bass To Tribute Series
G&L Guitars is expanding their tribute series with a new version of the MJ-4 bass. The Tribute Series MJ-4 Active Bass features many of the same features as its made-in-Fullerton counterpart while coming in at a lower price point.

The new model is equipped with a pair of G&L’s Bi-Coil Alnico V pickups that, while appearing as single-coils from the outside, contain two side-by-side coils configured in series-humbucking mode. An MJ-spec 18-volt preamp controls the bass’s output with volume and pan knobs as well as a 3-band EQ.
The Tribute MJ-4 is built with a swamp ash body and a maple neck, but it comes in two flavors: a Blueburst finish with a maple fingerboard, or a Natural Gloss finish with a rosewood fingerboard. Each neck features a 1 1/2″ nut-width with a medium “C” neck profile.

The G&L Tribute Series MJ-4 Active Bass is shipping now with a street price of $749.99.
