Vinyl Set Focuses on The Replacements’ Early Years
If you love the sound of the early days of The Replacements and feel like a vinyl record is the only way to hear the legendarily unruly rock group, a new four-album set has your name written on it: The Twin/Tone Years.
The set includes the band’s first four records: Sorry Ma, Forgot to Take Out the Trash (1981), the Stink EP (1982), Hootenanny (1983) and Let It Be (1984). As always, Tommy Stinson handles bass duties.
The release from Rhino Records is limited, with only 8,000 copies available with the release occurring for the Aug. 11 Record Store Day.
You can pick up the four-LP set, The Twin/Tone Years outside of a record store, too, here.
