Fare The Well Shows Released
Did you miss The Grateful Dead’s Fare The Well shows July 3-5 at Soldier Field in Chicago?
No worries. There’s a “best of” live album documenting the best performances from the three-date stand by the band’s remaining members, including bassist Phil Lesh, augmented by musicians like Phish’s Trey Anastasio, in honor of the band’s 50th anniversary.
It’s a great opportunity to hear more of Lesh live, particularly since he notes in a recent New York Times article that he’s not that into touring. In the interview he also says his bladder cancer is under control.
Check out the band on July 3, as it performs “Box of Rain,” which Lesh co-wrote:
