I remember staying up late the night she was on just to see her perform. It was mesmerizing. Her voice and her bass playing are both incredible.

my amateur brain is having a time trying to figure out her chord changes. spalding is deeeeep. her musicality is off the charts. such a melodic groove. i think most of the audience is so caught off guard they don’t know what’s going on. then they scream at the end because they know it was a stellar performance. cool music.
