Surine Basses Introduces The Lunara NTVII Bass

Luthier Scott Surine was showing his basses at the NAMM Show this year including a brand new model called the Lunara NTVII. The bass, which is Surine’s second single-cut design, features neck-through construction with a seven-piece Rock Maple and Walnut neck.

The Lunara NTVII’s swamp ash body core is sandwiched between a Redwood burl top and back with black Sycamore veneers between layers. Electronics include a pair of Bartolini Slim Dual pickups matched to an NTCT preamp. Each pickup has its own volume knob, while the EQ consists of a concentric bass treble, and mid boost/cut.

The Lunara also utilizes Surine’s proprietary SONOVA bridge. Machined from brass, the modular bridge is super versatile with four string spacing options: 16mm, 17mm, 18mm, or 19mm. Other bass features include Gotoh tuners, Schaller locking strap buttons, and a TruOil finish.

Surine Basses are custom built to order in Denver, Colorado. As such, the Lunara is available with several options.
