Schecter Adds To Session Series With 8-String, 5-String, Fretless Models
Schecter expanded their Session Series of basses this year with an 8-string version of their Riot bass, a 5-string version of the Model-T, and a fretless version of the Stiletto. As a part of the series, each of the basses is built with a swamp ash body, hard rock maple neck, ebony side block inlays, and active EMG pickups and electronics.
The Riot-8 Session is set up as a traditional eight-string with four double courses. It has 24 narrow X-Jumbo frets with a 12-inch fingerboard radius. The pickups are a pair of EMG35’s matched to a 3-band EQ.
Available in four and five-string versions, the Stiletto Session Fretless also features EMG35’s but has a more compact body than the Riot. Finally, the Model-T Session-5 oozes old school vibe with a P/J configuration, 22 X-Jumbo frets, and a custom Schecter Bass String Thru bridge.
The Schecter Riot-8 Session is available for $719, while the Stiletto Session-4 FL and Stiletto Session-5 FL go for $629 and $669, respectively. The Model-T Session-5 has a street price of $699.
