Tal Wilkenfeld Embarks on Fall Tour
Tal Wilkenfeld will be hitting the road this fall for a tour that will take her up the West Coast. Starting at Phoenix, Arizona’s Musical Instrument Museum, the trek will snake up California before heading through Oregon and Washington. Wilkenfeld and her band will wrap up on October 13th at the Biltmore in Vancouver, British Columbia. Part of the tour includes opening for The Who at the sold out Santa Barbara Bowl.
Wilkenfeld made huge waves for her jaw-dropping bass playing, but she’s currently gearing up to release her first album as a singer-songwriter. It’s available for pre-order through Pledge Music. Check out “Corner Painter” for a taste of her style:

She started Out of tune
I wish Tal success but this seems like a huge step backwards. She is such an incredible bassist and there are many many singer/songwriters. If she is playing bass and in the area, I would be there in an instant but this sounds to me like a local open mic nite. I wish her success but I just remember how she played bass with Jeff Beck and others and find this video disappointing. I was hoping to see more incredible bass playing.
Tal and her bass is one in a million. Tal and her singing style million in one…
I want to like this, but I don’t.
