New App Trains Your Ears For EQ’ing

hearEQ ScreenshotsAnyone who has played a concert can tell you that EQ’ing is an important skill. If you’re looking to hone your ear to perfect that skill, you may want to check out a new app called hearEQ.

The ear training app helps musicians and sound engineers with custom EQ training exercises that your tracks from your own device. “These exercises teach you about different frequency bands while honing your practical EQ skills,” developer Alex Andrews writes. “Whether you’re playing a live concert, mixing a recording, or even playing music through iTunes, professional EQ skills go a long way—and hearEQ helps build them.”

hearEQ is available now for iPhone and iPad in the iTunes store for $5.99.
