Dominic “Forest” Lapointe is one of my favorite metal bassists. His unique bass lines bring out his voice in the music and his killer chops make it impressive to watch.
Here’s a great clip of Lapointe tearing through “Leader” by B.A.R.F. Although he typically plays fretless, his monster playing translates perfectly to a fretted six-string. He kicks things off with some introspective chordal work before things get heavy.
