Phil Jones Bass Hosts Second Solo Bass Competition
Calling all solo bass players! Phil Jones Bass, La Bella Strings, MTD Basses, and Tsunami Cables are teaming up for a solo bass competition to be held June 3rd in Brooklyn, New York. The day-long event will also include a Bass Expo showing off all the best gear from the sponsors.
“In the previous competition, we had multiple competitors from around the world and PJB gave away a BG400, and Martin Simms gave away a set of Simms pickups,” PJB’s Brian Wright explains. “This time around, MTD, La Bella, and Tsunami cables are joining us, and the prizes are pretty grand. The first place winner will receive the all new Cab 47, Bass Pulse One, and an MTD Kingston Saratoga Deluxe.” Runner-ups will also receive various prizes.
The Phil Jones Bass Solo Bass Competition will be held at 225 34th Street in Brooklyn, New York. The bass expo begins at 12 pm, while the competition begins at 7 pm sharp. It is limited to 15 competitors with an entry deadline of May 20th. Contestants need to submit a photo and short video performance to Michael Albronda at [email protected].
