Hartke Unveils Enhanced HyDrive Bass Cabinets
Ten years ago, Hartke unveiled a new series of bass cabinets featuring their HyDrive speakers. Now they’re celebrating the 10th anniversary with four new models in the HyDrive HD Series Bass Cabinets.
It consists of four new models: the HD112, the HD115, the HD210, and the HD410. Each is fitted with HyDrive speakers, which are a hybrid design combining paper and aluminum cones, to deliver the best of both worlds. “The outside curved, Kevlar®-loaded paper cone delivers a smooth, even response with a deep tone, while the inner straight, anodized aluminum cone produces highly accurate, distortion-free output,” Hartke writes. The drivers also feature new double-roll, curvilinear surround limits for a smooth mid-range response. “[An] optimized ferrite magnet assembly and steel chassis design deliver a maximum power-to-weight ratio to each of the HyDrive HD cabinets,” they add.
Other features for the series includes high-quality plywood construction with extensive bracing and dado joints. The series will be available soon with prices ranging from $399.99 to $699.99.
