Schecter Unveils The Apocalypse Bass Series
Schecter will be rolling out a new line of basses at the Winter NAMM Show called the Apocalypse Bass Series. Designed with “high-end specs and aggressive style,” the company says that the C-4 and C-5 Apocalypse basses pack a punch thanks to their pickups.

“[They are] powered by Schecter US Custom Shop Apocalypse Bass Humbucker Pickups,” Schecter explains. “These earth-shaking, high-transparency passive pickups deliver massive slabs of warm, defined low-end tone with a strong upper-midrange presence and the punch of a meteor-impact.”
The series includes the C-4, the 35-inch scale C-4 EX, and the C-5 five-string. Each is built with a swamp ash body, a carbon fiber reinforced maple/padauk neck, and an ebony fingerboard. Mother of Pearl triangles mark the 12th and 24th frets while glow-in-the-dark side dot markers help on dimly lit stages. Other features include black 1-ply binding, a Schecter custom hardtail bridge, and Grover 144 tuners. It comes in a Rusty Grey finish.
The Schecter Apocalypse Series will be debuting at the Winter NAMM Show. The C-4 Apocalypse and C-4 Apocalypse EX will have street prices of $1,149, while the C-5 Apocalypse will have a street price of $1,229.
