Tensor Updates Classic Series Basses for 2018
Tensor Basses is updating their Classic series of basses for 2018. Described as a “complete ground up redesign,” the new basses offer a deeper cutaway for access to the top frets, Nordstrand J-series pickups, and a new finish. It also updates the company’s main bass feature, the Force Balance System, which replaces the need for a truss rod.

“As an integral part of the Force Balance System a new bridge was designed and is manufactured in Tensor’s Mission Viejo shop,” Tensor writes. “The new bridge has a greater range of adjustment for intonation and string height.”

Tensor’s Classic series will also have a lower price point. The retail prices for a single-pickup four-string will be $1,595, while the five-string dual-pickup model will go for $1,795.
