Hartke Introduces TX300 Bass Amp and HyDrive 112b Bass Cabinet

Hartke launched a pair of new bass amplification products at NAMM this year: the TX300 bass amplifier and the HyDrive 112b cabinet. Both products are lightweight and a good match for each other, with the TX300 weighing in at just five pounds.

Hartke TX300 Bass Amplifier

The TX300 offers 300 watts with Hartke’s 3-band EQ and Shape circuit for tonal flexibility. “The Shape control is a contour filtering system designed to enhance the sound of bass instruments,” they explain. “When enabled, it allows the player to continuously sweep a filter through various frequencies to customize the effect of the curve for the specific tonal characteristics of their instruments. This curve provides moderate boost at certain frequencies and deep attenuation at others.”

The front end of the amp also includes an onboard overdrive, mute switch, and compressor. For connectivity, it has an aux input, a headphone output, and a balanced XLR output.

Hartke HyDrive 112b Bass CabinetHartke’s HyDrive 112b is a four-ohm cab fitted with their 12-inch patented paper/aluminum HyDrive hybrid cone driver. “The hybrid makeup delivers an exceptional blend of warmth and attack that cannot be attained by traditional all-paper bass speakers. The outside paper cone delivers a smooth, even response with a deep tone, while the inner anodized aluminum cone produces smooth mids for an even tone that can be tailored to any style of music.” Hartke covers the ported cab in a textured vinyl complete with inset carry handles and protective corners.

The Hartke TX300 and HyDrive 112b will be available soon, each with a price of $299.99.

Today I measured power of TX300. And I was shocked. 40V of RMS signal on 4ohm dummy load, so yes, it gives 400W of RMS power not 300W!
