Blackstar Amplification Launches Unity Bass Combo Series

Blackstar Unity Bass Amps

Blackstar Amplification has gotten into the bass game with the Unity Series, their first ever line of bass amps. Models in the range span power ranges from 30 watts to 500 watts in combo amp packages. Each has a preamp equipped with a 4-band EQ as well as three preamp voicings: Classic, Modern, or Flat. They also have a response control to emulate three power amp stages: Linear, 6L6, and 6550.

Its built-in overdrive can be switched between an overdrive, distortion, or fuzz. Other baked-in features include a compressor and footswitchable chorus and sub-octave effects. The Unity series connectivity has a footswitch jack, an MP3/Line in, a USB port, a headphone output, an XLR output, and an effects loop.

The lineup has combos rated at 30, 60, 120, 250, and 500 watts. A 250-watt active cabinet can be added to any Unity cab for extra power.
