Petros Klampanis: Pes Mou Mia Lexi

Double bassist Petros Klampanis is back with another groove with a view. “Pes Mou Mia Lexi” is the third video in his Rooftop Story series. This time he’s above the bustling streets of Havana, Cuba.

“I have always been fascinated by the music and culture of this part of the world. The way that Western and African civilizations merge in Cuban music is truly inspiring,” he writes. “For me, and I know that it may sound somewhat cliché, Cuban music symbolizes the joy of life, a love for dancing and communication, and the equality and dialogue that exists between social groups in this unique society. Cuban music represents the population’s love and respect towards each other and towards their physical environment.”

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
