System Of A Down Announces 2018 Tour Dates

System of a Down

After teasing the news on Facebook, System of a Down has announced they will be returning to the stage in 2018. The band, anchored by Shavo Odadjian, will be playing at least five shows this October including a headlining spot on the Aftershock Festival.

Three of the other dates include support from At The Drive In and Skeleton Witch, while a concert in San Bernadino will also add Incubus, Clutch, and Pallbearer. The tour will be their first US shows since 2015’s “Wake Up The Souls” tour.

While fans can rejoice in new concerts, many are anxiously awaiting new music. Odadjian told fans in July that the album was not happening, and that still appears to be the case. Singer Serj Tankian elaborated in December. “We’ve discussed it and we’ve played each other songs, but we still haven’t come eye-to-eye on how things should be done for us to be able to move forward with it,” he told Rolling Stone. “And that’s where it’s been.”
