Bass of the Week: Mayones Master Builder Collection Jabba Semi-Hollow

Mayones produces plenty of beautiful instruments, but their team makes extra time to create the Master Builder Collection. “If you’re a true gear-hunter only the most unique instruments can stir up your enthusiasm, the Mayones Master Builder Collection is the answer for your demands,” they write. “The Mayones Master Builder Collection is a unique line of unexampled guitars and basses presenting the craft mastery and creativity of our Master Luthiers.”

This week we’re checking out a tricked out version of their Jabba model from the collection. Built for 2016, the bass features a semi-hollow alder body that comes in a cracked Angel White finish. Its one-piece hard rock maple neck is topped with a rosewood fingerboard that’s adorned with acrylic block inlays. The knobs are custom made by Mayones with amber on a wenge dome.

Other features include a pair of Aguilar AG 5J-70 pickups, a Mayones M-BP3 bass preamp, a vintage bass bridge, and Hipshot HB6C Ultralite tuners.
