At NAMM 2026, Mohini Dey, Greg Spero, and Marco Cirigliano Deliver a Masterclass in Fusion
Last week at NAMM Show in Anaheim, Mohini Dey delivered one of those performances that makes you stop walking the floor and pay attention. Joined by Greg Spero on keys and Marco Cirigliano, Dey lit up the stage with an aggressive jazz fusion set that was heavy on interaction and even heavier on groove. This was not background music for a busy hall.
Mohini was playing her Mayones bass through a Markbass 210 combo. The tone was clear, punchy, and articulate with plenty of midrange presence to cut through the NAMM noise. Her right hand and control were on full display with fast runs and deep pocket.
In a sea of flashy demos and volume wars this performance stood out for its musical intent. She played with purpose and conviction reminding everyone within earshot why she remains one of the most compelling bass voices on today’s fusion scene.
