The Melvins: Live at House of Strombo

We always like to say the only thing better than one bassist is two. The Melvins acted upon that notion with their latest album, Pinkus Abortion Technician, which features both Jeff Pinkus and Steven MacDonald. The band has also been touring with their two-bass configuration and luckily their set at the House of Strombo was captured on film.

The band tears through “Kicking Machine”, “Stop Moving To Florida”, “Don’t Forget to Breathe”, “Onions Make The Milk Taste Bad”, “The Talking Horse”, and “Evil New War God”.

Drummer Dale Crover puts it best when he says, “We hope you brought your diapers because it’s going to be awful bassy.”

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
