Chris Robinson Brotherhood Announces Fall Tour Dates
The Chris Robinson Brotherhood is in the middle of a summer tour, but they’re not ready to get off the road for the year just yet. The band has announced an extensive fall tour that will cover all of October and half of November.
The tour kicks off October 3rd in South Burlington, Vermont at the Higher Ground Ballroom. It will snake its way up and down the East Coast with several Midwest dates thrown in for good measure. The final date on the books is November 18th in Detroit, Michigan. The band is currently touring behind their latest release, Barefoot in the Head.
Fronted by former Black Crowes singer Robinson, the Brotherhood is held together by the rich bass lines of Jeff Hill. Even though the album came out a year ago, Hill and his bandmates keep thing interesting by keeping it dynamic every night.
“I try different things on any given night,” he told us in an interview. “Sometimes they work and sometimes they don’t. There’s never really a whole lot of judgment about it because that’s the spirit of live music. If you’re not willing to take a chance, then you may not discover something new. I think everyone in the group is allowing each other to take those chances, especially in moments where we’re really trying to extend something to another place. We also like to morph songs into each other, so we’ll have a very loose outline of how we’re going to do that.”
