Amorite Guitars Announces First Bass Model: The Kothar
Amorite Guitars has introduced their first bass model called the Kothar. The bass was two years in the making and will be available alongside other Amorite instruments.
Designed in part with bassist Omar Harb, the Kothar features neck-through construction with a five-piece maple and walnut neck with an asymmetric profile. Its neck is also reinforced by carbon fiber rods in addition to the stainless steel truss rod. The Gabon Ebony fingerboard is fitted with 24 medium-jumbo frets and glowing side dots for better visibility on dark stages. The Kothar body wings are chambered with black limba and a pistachio top, while an ash tone block is accented with walnut. Finally, it’s fitted with Aguilar pickups, an East Tone UK preamp, and Hipshot hardware.
The Amorite Guitars Kothar bass is handmade by luthier Amr Fifai and can be deeply customized. It has a starting price point of $4,000.
