John Lennon with Klaus Voormann: “How Do You Sleep?” Out-Take
I spotted this on NPR the other day and couldn’t wait to share it here.
This clip offers never-before-seen footage of John Lennon recording “How Do You Sleep?,” from the Imagine album. This is features what is described as “Takes 5 & 6, Raw Studio Mix Out-take.”
Klaus Voormann is laying back on the recording while laying it down. The track also features George Harrison, Alan White, and Nicky Hopkins.
The video comes from a new box set: Imagine – The Ultimate Collection.
The story on NPR is worth a read.
