Ellen Andrea Wang: River
“River” is one of Joni Mitchell’s most covered songs, but you’ve never heard it like this. Ellen Andrea Wang lays down a gorgeous bass line while singing the song with a vocal effects processor. She’s then accompanied by piano, guitar, and kora for a touching and emotional performance.
While not specifically a Christmas song, it does mention the holiday in the lyrics. This clip is also taken from a performance on a Christmas show from Danish TV.
In any case, I’ve watched this several times over and I think you will, too.

She’s the most versatile multi-talented musician i stumbled upon in the last few years at Jazz in Juketown while playing with her band Pixel. You should check out gorgeous songs like ‘Heaven’ on her latest album or listen to her play with the equally gifted band Gurls.
Outstanding version.
