Hughes Guitars Announces the Dave Fowler Signature Bass Mini Thunderbird
Hughes Guitars has announced the Dave Fowler Signature Bass Mini Thunderbird. The Nashville session bassist’s new instrument is already in use with Billy Bob Thornton and The Artimus Pyle Band.
“This 4-string signature model features the fundamental punch of its Geezer Butler reverse P-style pickups combined with the mahogany body for girth,” Hughes writes. “Its quilted maple top and nitrocellulose finish in tobacco burst makes it an instant classic.”
The bass is built with a five-piece laminate neck of wenge, maple, and mahogany while its ebony fingerboard is inlaid Mother of Pearl. Hughes offers a few options including a different top wood and pickup configurations (Reverse P, PJ, and J-style). The finish is a hand-mixed translucent tobacco burst stain in nitrocellulose.
The Hughes Guitars Dave Fowler Signature Bass Mini Thunderbird is made in North Carolina. It is available starting at $4,200.
