Caparison Guitars Unveils the Dellinger Bass
It’s been a decade since Caparison Guitars introduced a new bass model as part of their regular line of instruments, but now they’ve fixed that with the Dellinger Bass. The company says the Dellinger is “instantly familiar but at the same time much improved.” Central to that improvement is the Fishman Fluence multi-voiced pickup system.
“The Fishman Fluence Bass Soapbar pickup system produces multiple timbres and sounds, each untethered from the other,” Caparison writes. “Original and totally re-imagined, Fluence Multi-Voice pickups for electric bass are free from the hum, noise and frustrating inductance issues that plague even the most coveted wire-wound pickups, revealing pure, uncorrupted bass tone. Fluence Bass Soapbar pickups can be split for single coil operation with a Jazz Bass string window. Also, the included Treble and Bass controls can be used to further expand the tonal palette. Voicings for the Fluence Bass pickups were created to offer players a wide palette of sounds that cover all playing styles. Plus, of course, Caparison has fitted the Fishman USB rechargeable battery pack as standard.”
Caparison builds the Dellinger with a light ash body that comes in three finishes: Dark Blue Matte, Dark Black Matte or Dark Green Matte. Other features include a five-piece maple and walnut neck with twin titanium supports, a Gotoh 303SJ-4 bridge that offers through body or bridge stringing, and Gotoh GB707 tuners.
The Caparison Guitars Dellinger Bass carries a street price of $3,199.
