Walter Areia: Sem Paredes
Brazilian double bassist Walter Areia has a keen sense of rhythm and melody. In his latest video for his song, “Sem Paredes,” he puts his percussive style to use. For the first minutes, he taps time on the body of his bass with Augusto Baschera adding his own rhythms on his guitar and clapping. Yedo Gibson freestyles over the interweaving times before the trio comes in together with the melody.
Areia’s fire and passion in his playing is infectious, driving his bandmates to push their limits.
