Sharay Reed Joins Cory Henry for “Live in Love” Tour
Cory Henry is hitting the road this month with his band to support his latest release, Art of Love, but fans can expect something even newer. The keyboardist shared the news on his Facebook page.
“I’m extremely excited to be bringin NEW music, The Funk Apostles and Ric Wilson on the road this fall,” he wrote. “There isn’t a party like the one we gonna have. Be prepared for a JAM good time!”
The Funk Apostles is anchored by bassist Sharay Reed, who has performed with Patti LaBelle, Kirk Franklin, Yolanda Adams, R. Kelly, CeCe Winans, Aretha Franklin, and more. Check out his playing in this clip from a performance at the Berklee College of Music:
Reed is also currently working on a web series called “Travel, Taste, & Talk with Sharay Reed” as well as a Bass Lines book. He self-published “Be There: A Book of Bass” last year.
