G&L Unveils the Fallout Bass Launch Edition
G&L Guitars has unveiled a new short-scale four-string called the Fallout Bass Launch Edition. The 30-inch scale instrument comes in three colors – British Racing Green, Miami Blue, and Racing Yellow – each with competition stripes.
G&L fits the model with their Magnetic Field Design humbucker controlled with a three-position mini-toggle to set the operation between parallel, split, and “OMG” modes. That allows for “anything from modern to old school tones to your fingertips,” they write.
The bass is crafted with an alder body, maple neck, and Caribbean rosewood fingerboard. Get a rundown and demo from The Bass Hang’s Steve Araujo in this clip:
The G&L Fallout Bass Launch Edition is available for $1,699.

This looks and sounds awesome. I think it’ll be a big seller for G&L. Especially when they add it to their custom shop lineup and allow the buyer some options. I’ll take two with lacquer finishes. A fretted one in candy apple red w/stripe, and a fretless in vintage tobacco sunburst with fret lines.
