Warpaint Working on New Album

WarpaintWarpaint bassist Jenny Lee Lindberg has broken the news that the band is in the studio working on a new album. The record will be their first since 2016’s Heads Up.

“Tt and I having a moment. A look. A vibe,” she shared on Instagram. “Relaxing and getting prepared for day 7 of studio. New WARPAINT RECORD FOLKS. Couldn’t be more more proud of what we’re making. Stay tuned for more updates. And maybe some music to follow.”

In another post, she revealed the band is recording at Rancho de la Luna in Joshua Tree, California. In an interview earlier this year, Lindberg said the band would like to release an album in the summer, so it seems that may be on target. We’ll most likely get the first taste of new music from the band on the soundtrack for The Turning, which includes a single by Warpaint called “The Brakes.”
