Strandberg Announces 10th Anniversary Boden Bass Models

Strandberg is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a series of limited-edition versions of each of their models, including the Boden Bass. Each of the instruments carries the same materials and components of the standard models, but have specially developed satin gold and silver finishes and hardware.

“The 10th Anniversary Limited Edition series Boden guitars and basses celebrate the birth of a new concept, the exuberant youth of today and an even more exciting future in the years to come,” the company writes. “We intend to be around for a long time to come and we have much more to create, design and produce in the years ahead.”

The 10th-Anniversary Boden Bass will be available in four and five-string versions in both of the Standard and Prog models. Each of those will be made in gold and silver, for a total of eight basses. Strandberg is building five of each style for the whole world, with two going to the U.S. and Europe and one going to Japan.

Both the Original and Prog models are constructed with a chambered swamp ash body and a roasted maple and walnut neck that’s reinforced with 12-ply carbon fiber. They differ in the fingerboard and the electronics. The Original has a birdseye fingerboard while the Prog has an ebony board. Similarly, the Original is fitted with Nordstrand Zen Blade hum-canceling pickups and a Nordstrand 3-band preamp. The Prog has Nordstrand Big Rig humbuckers with a Darkglass ToneCapsule preamp.

The Strandberg Boden Bass 10th Anniversary basses will be coming soon with prices ranging from $3,095 to $3,295. They will be available for order in the US directly on January 7th. They are already available for order in Europe and Japan.
