Ashdown Launches Studio Range Bass Combos

After previewing them last year, Ashdown unveiled the new Studio Range at the Winter NAMM Show this year, which includes four new combos: the Studio 15, the Studio 12, the Studio 10, and the Studio 8. Each of the models is named after the size of its speaker.

“The all-new designs feature a new light-weight design using responsibly sourced poplar-ply wood, providing a light but strong structure for our new combo enclosures,” the company writes. “All of which have been tuned to their appropriate speaker capacities the 15 is rear ported for a deeper bass response and the 12 is front ported to project those mids, where as the 10 and 8 are both sealed enclosures.” The cabs also keep the weight down by utilizing Ashdown’s Studio NEO speakers in the 12 and 15 models.

For its preamp section, the combos utilize the five-band EQ featured in Ashdown’s Rootmaster and OriginAL series. Other features found in the series include a redesigned foot-switchable tube emulated overdrive, an effects loop, balanced XLR DI output, and a headphone output. The Studio 15 has a switch to defeat the tweeter for a more vintage vibe.

The Ashdown Studio Range will be available soon with prices of $119.99, $229.99, $379.99, and $499.99.
