Mayones Guitars Introduces the Patriot VF 37 Bass
Mayones made their Patriot line of basses a little bigger this year – literally. The new Patriot VF 37 features a multi-scale neck that stretches from a 34-inch G-string to a monstrous 37-inch B-string.
“Size does matter… if you want your bass to sound crushing!” the company writes. “Longer scale length allows tuning the bass even lower while keeping the sound tight and articulate.”
The Patriot VF 37 is built with a profiled swamp ash body with wenge in the middle, an AAA-grade flamed maple top, and a five-piece wenge and padouk neck. Its wenge fingerboard sports 24 jumbo frets with no markers. For electronics, Mayones opted for a pair of Aguilar DCB Dual Ceramic Bar soap bars matched to a Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp, though other options are available. Finally, the hardware includes Schaller M4 tuners, a Mayones single saddle bridge, and Schaller strap locks.
The Mayones Patriot VF 37 is available for order with prices ranging depending on options. It has a base price of $3,650.
