BITE Guitars Announces the Dragon Bass
Austrian bass company BITE Guitars launched last year with the customizable Punch and Jawbone models. Now they’ve announced their first preconfigured instrument called The Dragon Bass.
“The Dragon Bass was first devised and built for the rock bassist and composer Alberto Rigoni, its impressive artwork was designed by the hard rock design team of all4band.com,” the company writes. “The Dragon Bass is the first in BITE’s premium edition, a product line featuring unique sound options and artwork.”
Central to the Dragon’s design is a JPJ pickup configuration with parallel and series wiring. This allows for seven pickup configurations: bridge only, parallel JJ, parallel PJ, neck only J, neck only P, series JJ, and series PJ. The pickups, which are BITE’s own 1000mV design, are set into an alder body. While the body and pickups are preset, the bass has options for five different combinations of fingerboards using hard maple or black locust with block or white dot inlays.
You can see Rigoni going through the bass in this demo clip:
The BITE Guitars Dragon Bass is available for order now with a direct price of $1,363
