Petros Klampanis Trio: No Becomes Yes

Petros Klampanis and his trio may be all quarantined at their own homes, but that doesn’t stop the music. The bassist, pianist Kristjan Randalu, and percussionist Bodek Janke worked remotely to record the new song “No Becomes Yes” as well as create a music video.

“These days we spend a lot of time at home,” Klampanis writes. “We are secluded, but not alone.” He recorded his part from Athens while Janke was in Berlin and Randalu was in Tallinn. The song, which the bassist also wrote, was originally featured on his latest album, Irrationalities.

“This piece is about the change in our perspectives and opinions, as we get older, as life makes us see reality from a different angle. When ‘no’ becomes ‘yes’, we don’t compromise our integrity, as long as we stay true to ourselves and feel free in our choices.”

In his time with No Treble, Kevin has met hundreds of amazing bassists and interviewed icons like Jack Casady, Victor Wooten, Les Claypool, Marcus Miller, and more. He's a gigging bassist performing jazz in Northern Virginia and bluegrass with The Plate Scrapers up and down the East Coast. Kevin appreciates all genres of music, from R&B to metal and everything in between. Connect with Kevin on Facebook and check his performance schedule on his website.
