International Online Bass Summit Set for June 24-28

The world’s leading double bassists have banded together to announce the International Online Bass Summit. Scheduled for June 24th through the 28th, the event will offer bassists from around the world a chance to learn and grow together.

“The International Online Bass Summit is a collaborative effort among artistic directors Barry Green and Jason Heath, the International Society of Bassists, and the Society for Online Music Education,” the summit’s website explains. “It is our hope to leverage the online opportunities to bring together bass players from around the world to learn, experience, and celebrate the art of the bass. Proceeds from this event will be donated to the International Society of Bassists educational programs.”

The daily schedule will include morning warmups, lectures, demonstrations, breakout sessions, and networking and jam sessions. Featured guest artists will include Gary Karr, François Rabbath, John Clayton, Christine Hoock, DaXun Zhang, Andrés Martín, Hans Sturm, Chi-chi Nwanoku, Heath, Green, and more. The International Online Bass Summit will take place June 24th through the 28th. Registration is open now with an early bird price of $97. It will go up to $147 on May 20th. For more information, check out the summit website.
