Rex Orange County with Pino Palladino: Songs From “bcos u will never b free”
Alex Browne tipped us to this awesome video of singer/songwriter Rex Orange County in the studio with the one and only Pino Palladino. The duo performed three songs from the guitarist’s 2016 album, bcos u will never be free: “A Song About Being Sad”, “Belly (The Grass Stains)”, and “Corduroy Dreams”.
Of course, Palladino’s stone-cold groove is the perfect fit for Rex’s irreverent lyrics and R&B-tinged guitar work. As Alex pointed out in his email, it’s fascinating to see the master bassist in such a stripped-down setting.
