Darkglass Electronics Unveils Two New Bass Amps
Darkglass Electronics has announced two new amps to their lineup with the Microtubes 500v2 and the Alpha Omega 500. Each of the amplifiers is based around the company’s respective overdrive circuits and is matched with a new power section.
“A new superior custom-designed Darkglass high-efficiency class D power amplifier module is the heart of this new line of our 500 Watt amplifiers,” the company writes. “It enables the usage of speaker cabs with impedance as low as 2?, adding a new level of flexibility for your cabinet options.”
Another common feature is an improved version of their Cab Sim module that includes three slots for hi-res impulse responses. Each of them are active for both the headphone output and XLR DI output. Darkglass also includes.a one-knob compressor with intelligent makeup gain and an “ultra-quiet” graphic equalizer that replaces the previous 4-band EQ.
Both amps are available with price points of $749.99.
