Melvin Lee Davis: O.C.O.E.

My friend Joshua Sailor shared this video on Facebook recently with a one word comment: “LOCKED”.

In this clip, Melvin Lee Davis lays it down on his tune, “O.C.O.E. – Official Cat Of The Eighties”. Melvin not only handles the bass on the track – he also played keyboards and percussion – as well as handling some vocals.

Melvin calls this his “Hotel Recording Sessions”.

Very nice playing by Mr. Davis here. Totally dig on his choosing to play the verses finger style, and then, some thump and pop’n on the choruses. Great Stuff!
