Markbass Unveils the Mark Vintage Pre Preamp Pedal

Markbass Mark Vintage Pre Preamp Pedal

After previewing it at the Winter NAMM Show at the beginning of the year, Markbass has revealed the full details of the Mark Vintage Pre. The tube preamp pedal is loaded with features including a four-band EQ, a three-way switch with preset EQ settings, a drive section with two types of distortion and a blend control, a clean boost, and plenty of connectivity.

A big part of the pedal’s creation came from a suggestion by Marcus Miller, who was looking for a compact recording unit. In addition to the balanced DI, the Mark Vintage Pre has two digital recording outputs (RCA and TOSLINK) with a switch to toggle between 44.1, 48, and 96kHz sampling rates.

Other features include an auxiliary input, a headphone output, an effects loop, and true bypass. Get the full rundown from Peter Murray in the company’s overview video:

The Markbass Mark Vintage Pre will be shipping in early 2021 with a price point of around $400.
