Eastwood Guitars Announces Tiger Bass
Eastwood Guitars has unveiled another new project for 2021 with the Tiger Bass. Modeled after Jerry Garcia’s iconic instrument, the bass version will carry on many of the features as their guitar tribute.
“This bass will feature the same Walnut/Maple/Walnut construction as its guitar counterpart,” Eastwood writes. “Its Valco Custom Splitcoil pickups will be vintage-voiced, with a perfect balance of warmth and articulation. Say goodbye to being lost in the mix!”
The dual splitcoils will be controlled with a three-way toggle switch as well as individual volume and tone knobs. Other features will include a bound ebony fingerboard with pearloid inlays, a medium 32-inch scale, and Wilkinson hardware.
The Eastwood Guitars Tiger Bass is being introduced on their crowdfunding platform with a $200 deposit for pre-order and a final price of $1379. It is expected to ship in July 2021.

interesting. but what i don’t get is why you do a medium scale bass and then move the bridge so far forward the the overall length will be the same….
