Liquid Tension Experiment, Featuring Tony Levin, Announces New Album

Listen up, prog fans: Liquid Tension Experiment is back. The incredible supergroup of Mike Portnoy, John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, and Tony Levin have signed to InsideOutMusic and will be releasing a third album in spring 2021. It will be their first studio album in 22 years.

Label manager Thomas Waber helped to put the reunion together. “Myself, and John, have known Thomas Waber since we met on the very first Dream Theater European tour in 1993,” says Portnoy. “Since then I have worked with him and Inside Out for the past 20 years with Transatlantic, The Neal Morse Band, and Sons Of Apollo. When LTE finally reunited this summer, we knew there was no other label that we could call home.”

Levin performs in LTE on bass guitar, Chapman stick, and electric upright bass. The band has put out a teaser for the album:
