Dr. Randall Kertz Publishes Volume Two of Bassist’s Health Book

The Bassist's Guide to Injury Management, Prevention and Better Health - Volume TwoIf we want to be able to play to the best of our ability for as long as we can, it’s important we take care of our health. Dr. Randall Kertz, who has long been an advocate for the bass community, has just released a second book to help keep us on track. The Bassist’s Guide to Injury Management, Prevention and Better Health – Volume Two picks up where his first book left off and presents all-new material to alleviate common and not so common problems musicians face.

“Common conditions seen in bassists and how to handle them, none included in Volume One, are covered, and an analysis of both double and electric bassists’ posture and right and left sided techniques are explored from an injury prevention perspective,” the book description states.

Kertz once again gathered pro tips from top bassists and industry pros. Volume 2 has input from Ariane Cap, Ed Friedland, Stuart Hamm, Chris Jisi, Dino Monoxelos, Chi-chi Nwanoku, and John Patitucci.

In addition to Volume Two’s release, The Bassist’s Guide to Injury Management, Prevention and Better Health – Volume 1 has been reissued. Both books are available now through Bassline Publishing.
