Andrew McKinney: Funky Carol Kaye Pick Bass

No Treble readers are bringing it with the videos lately. Here’s another great one, sent to us by Andrew McKinney.

“I recorded a version of a Carol Kaye funky pick bass line from a 1972 Charles Kynard track ‘El Toro Poo Poo’. It’s a great bass line to play, and my daughter Anna got in on the act with some fun dancing and bass faces of her own, which seemed to make people smile!”

Andrew is playing his 1962 P Bass with flats, which of course, makes it sound perfect.
