Rickenbacker Unveils 90th Anniversary 4005XC Bass Guitar

Rickenbacker 4005XC Bass

2021 marks the 90th anniversary of Rickenbacker Guitars, who have just revealed limited edition guitar and bass models to mark the occasion. While details are still slim, the bass model is called the 4005XC and has some serious retro appeal.

It features a deluxe thinline semi-hollow body crafted from maple with a three-piece maple neck complete with a skunk stripe. Its rosewood fretboard is adorned with “crushed pearl” triangle inlays while white checkered binding traces the body’s edges.

For electronics, the 4005XC has a pair of vintage “toasters” with stereo output jacks. Other features include a 30.5-inch scale, a Schaller bridge, and a vintage reissue case.

The Rickenbacker 90th Anniversary 4005XC bass will come in Amber Fireglo and Jetglo finishes. It’s available for pre-order with a price point of $5,149.

      I concur.

Most likely msrp, not street price. Nothing on their website about it, same as the 4001(3) AutumnGlo shown by some guy in YouTube from the UK.
