Evan Marien x Dana Hawkins: Kyoto (feat. Intervals & J3PO)

Evan Marien x Dana Hawkins are back with a new music video for their song, “Kyoto”, which features Aaron Marshall from Intervals and Julian “J3PO” Pollack.

The song is on their latest album, Parallels, which also includes appearances by Mario Camarena from Chon, Cory Wong from Vulfpeck, Thundercat, and Flying Lotus collaborator Miguel Atwood-Ferguson, and longtime keyboardist for Allan Holdsworth, Steve Hunt.

I love how this duo has evolved, which Evan describes well: “the post-Squarepusher/Thundercat/Flying Lotus wave of progressive instrumental music where jazz, electronica, beat culture and heavy bass collide.”
