Ampeg Unveils the Rocket Bass Combo Amp Series

Ampeg Rocket Bass Combo Amp Series

Ampeg has launched a new line of amps with the Rocket Bass Series, which includes five new combos ranging from 30 to 500 watts of power. Each model marries the company’s vintage styling with more modern features.

“The new Super Grit Technology™ overdrive circuit combines with classic 3-band EQ and Ultra Hi/Ultra Lo switches (RB-112 and up) to produce legendary Ampeg tone,” they write, “while XLR line outputs (except RB-108), auxiliary inputs, and headphone outputs ensure that Rocket Bass combos are ready to rock anywhere—from the practice room to the stage.”

The smallest of the pack is the 30-watt RB-108, which has an 8-inch driver and weighs in at 23 pounds. Its SGT overdrive has a simple on/off switch, while the rest of the series has the switch with Grit and Level knobs. The lineup grows with the RB-110, the RB-112, the RB-115, and the RB-210.

I wonder which of them is possibly to be used with one second 18″ loudspeaker in order to render clean the low H (5th string) and, by the way would be nice to know which frequency field do they cover -(work within)-
(I’m very glad using one old B115 with Altec and sometimes a second 15 JBL to fill any room WITH MUSIC no loudness)
